The tsunami on December 26 2004 devastated Banda Aceh and the west coast of Sumatra. With tens of thousands left homeless and living in makeshift shelters, and tens of thousands of corpses as Aceh headed into the rainy season, the fear of disease is acute. Much needed tetanus immunoglobulin from Denmark is distributed by the WHO to the South Australian Medical Tam in the Farkinah hospital.
